TODAY PEOPLE WE CAN CHANGE THE VERY COURSE OF HISTORY, WE NEED 200,000+ PEOPLE TO SIGN THE PETITION TO ABOLISH ALL CHARGES FROM HALIFAX BANK AND OTHERS FOR BEING OVERDRAWN!!!! WE AS A PEOPLE CANNOT AFFORD TO GET INTO ANYMORE DEBT ESPECIALLY TO THE GREEDY BANKS! IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU CAN HELP OUR CAUSE THEN PLEASE SIGN OUR PETITION,ITS AS EASY AS 1,2, 3!     I totally agree the charges perhaps not abolished but substantially reduced so that these do not hurt genuine people too much. However until it is done, do not hasitate to contact individual bank and ask to waive the charges. You be surprised it does happen. My bank certainly agreed to waive for few months.

    I very often visit France where my wife lives. Whilst I am in France, drawing cash from my Halifax account becomes an expensive nightmare, due to the charges. For heaven's sake, Britain and France are EU States. The people have to acknowledge this fact, why not the Banks? Transactions are simple and electronic. How can that fact justify the charges? It can't.

    Especially bad when they have now taken on board Lloyds practice of taking 4 days to clear checks instead of 3 days so there is even more chance of getting overdrawn!
