The cold weather payments should be made to all pensioners and the rate should be set inline with the high energy costs most pensioners are being forced to turn off there heating at a time when they need to keep warm because they just cannot afford the costs these are people who have worked and paid contributions to the state all of there working lives unlike some laxy people who have never worked a day in there lives and foreigners who come into this country all these are given high rates of benifits which include there full heating costs

I am a pensioner living in Austria which, in the winter is just as cold, if not more so, than the UK.

the content of your claim that all pensioners are entitled is very true, as we have contributed all our working lives and acted as responsible adults.

Its just as cold and just as expensive for all pensioners, not just those receiving means-tested benefits. Its just not just!

i like many of my counter parts out there feel let down by the present and past goverments who have allowed our gas and electricity companys to be taken over by french and german firms who are making more then fair profit ,out of us pensioners ,who can barely keep warm ,after working hard all our lives and went through the second world war ,only to be left to the proffetering of our good neigbour\'s d,o\'brien
