We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to: 'Let parents know about Mattress Wrapping for cot death prevention which has a 100% success rate during a 14 year, ongoing campaign run by Dr T.J Sprott of New Zealand – Parents are entitled to know that something simple can be done to protect their children from sudden death. The Cause of cot death has been discovered and something simple can be done to prevent it.
It is the parents who should decide what is best for their children – this information has been kept from the public for 15 years!

As a grandmother & retired Health Visitor, I am appalled by the level of pressure new mothers feel under to have their babies always at their sides to avert cot death, to the point of paranoia. Mattress wrapping has been researched & proved to be very effective, a fact which should be made available to all new mothers & professionals.
