This petition is directed at FOM who supply the live TV feed for Formula One to broadcasters. Currently there is no option for broadcasters to receive HD signals from FOM meaning the BBC (in the UK) is unable to show Formula One in HD.
Previously it has been said that the demand for HD was too low to make F1 HD broadcasts worthwhile, however with the greater take-up in HD sets and HD services from Sky and Virgin it must surely be time. With BBC and other channels routinely showing football, rugby, winter olympics etc in HD it is time the most technologically advanced sport in the world catches up.
If you would like to see F1 in HD please sign and encourage others to do so too.
As much as i would love to think that this is going to make any difference to the "FOM" I very much doubt it will!
What i'm finding VERY annoying is that the FOM are looking into 3D viewing! ( Turkish practice 2010 ) I'm sorry but how bloody stupid are they?!
LG is now the offical timing supplier. . .LG One of the world leaders in HD !
c'MON please please please sort it out! Even the world touring cars are now in HD. Moto GP Is in HD,World superbikes etc etc etc.
I think its about time that the powers that be realise we all live in the 21st century!
Why the delay?
Desperate for F1 in HD, why is such a technical sport liek F1 so far behind with its broadcast tech?
i'am love nintendo
The most technologically advanced sport in the world, still being shown in SD – shocking! Sort it out, Bernie!
