Enough local sites already, hardly a need for any more. Bit presumptuous that this will be granted with the access works already commenced!

  2. Amy

I object to this development on the grounds that there are enough local sites without the need for this additional one and am concerned about the increased risk of vehicular accidents this will cause!

  3. Anna Lucas UNITED KINGDOM

I object to this on the grounds that the land is green belt and should not be converted for any use. There are enough traveller and industrial sites in the surrounding area.

  4. Ralph Lucas UNITED KINGDOM

I respectfully request that this application is not approved. There are various other sites of brown field land within the local area that would be more appropriate to the proposed activities.

  5. Paula Heywood

Enough local traveller sites locally – some of which were put up illegally – if this one is made legal will it grow and grow?

  6. Richard Alexander UNITED KINGDOM

there are currently two pre existing sites in close proximity to hockliffe, less than 5 minutes away

  7. Neil Taylor UNITED KINGDOM

I object as there is already plenty of existing areas for this type of use and it will cause issues with excess traffic on roads that are already very busy.

  8. Suzy Bolton UNITED KINGDOM

I totally object to this development. It is Green belt land and to grant retrospective approval makes a total mockery on this and the process to gain planning permission.

  9. Julia Dickens UNITED KINGDOM

There is too little detail about what is new, and what is already there. If the existing buildings are agricultural, presumably they didn’t need permission, and are now only applying for change of use, without new construction. Are there to be NEW fixed dwellings? If so, I think it an inappropriate site; if they are genuinely mobile, and travelling during the season, I might think differently.

  10. Tony Bailey UNITED KINGDOM

I object to this development in its entirety. There are currently plenty of travellers sites within the local and surrounding areas. This is greenbelt land and should not be used in this way. As a local resident, this is the first I have been made aware of this gross violation of our natural surroundings. This is a disgusting display of poor and inconsiderate planning by the local authority.

  11. jose JARVISHASENOHR UNITED KINGDOM

Yet another example of not consulting the people affected

  12. Paul Howcroft UNITED KINGDOM

It is not appropriate in Green Belt. If it is a business, it could be done in town. If a travellers’ site, we have enough.

  13. Neil Underwood UNITED KINGDOM

This is a retrospective planning application for buildings in the Green Belt, it should not get approval. – also any buildings already on the site that have not been approved previously should be removed. This will cause dangerous road incidents on the road between Hockliffe and Leighton Buzzard if approved quite Simply NO! NO! NO!

  14. Jacky UNITED KINGDOM

What is going on. This is supposed to be green belt land. we are having to many things happening in this area. new homes, solar farms and now traveller sites. I am sure we have enough traveller sites in the area and industrial ares too.
It’s about time the people of this community had a say in what is going on around here.

I object strongly to the proposed site. Provision is made elswhere in the area. I’m sure a site in this area would be a great logistical avantage to traveling non tax paying entertainers due to the convenient location of major routes available. However, the local road proposed for the location is not suitable for the type and frequency of trucks and heavy machinary needed for traveling circus and funfairs, ect. The disruption, pollution and dischord brought on to the local tax paying population would be an unwise decision, both politically (coming election), legally ( green belt) and Socialy ( additional housing plans already in place). The benefits of close proximity to the M1 and M25 is the privilege of those who work and pay taxes to the council from whom should be a decision to say NO to this application and to suggest they site the traveling entertainers further north along the M1 where there is more open land and better local road access to the motorway.

  16. David Lee

I am a Local resident & am fed up with this council just forcing things though with limited consultation with the local communities. Such as Wind turbines, Solar farms & another 2000 plus houses planed for the area. There are enough traveller sites in the area. Leighton Road running from Eggington to the A5 will become a dangerous stretch of road with all the extra traffic.

A completely unsuitable site for this proposal. A travellers site, and especially one which is to be used for the maintenance of vehicles and equipment should be sited in a semi industrial area. Why should it be allowed to be sited on GREEN BELT land. Is it not enough that the area has already been blighted with the solar farm? There are PLENTY of areas where this site could be positioned which would be more suitable and not on green belt land.

  19. John Fox UNITED KINGDOM

This is an unsuitable location for this proposal, for many reasons. GREEN BELT LAND (does this not count for anything any more?), an already busy road, no consultation with local residents as usual and a blight on what is struggling to remain as an attractive area with protected green belt land. ridiculous!!!

  20. simone UNITED KINGDOM

We have recently moved to this lovely area and are extremely upset by this application. Precious green belt for travellers??? complete insanity. NO NO NO!!!!!
