It is my hope that the Log Cabin will be granted planning permission to re-develop as it has served my son well. With new buildings the site will offer more to the community at large for another 30 years plus.

I work in a school for children with special needs and learning disabilities and many of them use the log cabin. It is a very beneficial venture.

My two sons have used the Log cabin over the last 15 years. Both have gained an invaluable place of play, companionship, care, respite and fun and the Log Cabin has been a source of very important rest and much needed short breaks for their mother who is their main carer. Our eldest son who is now 20 years old still talks about his experiences and the people he met in the Log Cabin. It is not a luxury but an absolut necessity for the families of children with special needs. If families are given this kind of respite it can make the difference between keeping their physical and mental wellbeing in a healthy state and is a very sensible economic investment as without the likes of places like the Log Cabin many kids will end up in residential care and there will be many negative and costly health otcomes. So for these reasons I add my name to the petition to keep and invest in this facility.
