Missing Children Rapid Alert (MCRA) believe there should be an Rapid Alert system in place for the many thousands of children who go missing each year. Currently the guidelines are that police make an appeal public within 5 days, then if the media believe it is worth publishing it will go out in the local press.
The team behind MCRA strongly believe and so do its supporters that this is not good enough. We feel that a missing child case should be made into an emergency alert within hours of the child being reported missing.
Also the team at MCRA feel that they would like to be the National Alert system for the UK.
