We the undersigned parents and friends of South Hampstead Junior and South Hampstead High School support the proposal to develop SHHS at 3 Maresfield Gardens NW3, a project which will benefit not only SHHS students but also neighbouring Holy Trinity School, and the wider community.

We believe:
- This excellent school should be supported by the borough and brought up to date for 21st century standards.
- The proposed contemporary red-brick building would improve the school's appearance compared with the present patchwork of structures.
- The view from Maresfield Gardens North will become more open and leafy when the old buildings are demolished. The proposed changes cannot be seen or even glimpsed as one drives down Maresfield Gardens, as the school sits on the separate stretch which houses the 1960s Catholic church and its 1960s outbuildings
- It will be a beacon of excellence for sustainability in Camden
