To UK Prime Minister David Cameron and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg,

We, The Undersigned, request that the UK Government does not automatically extradite Julian Assange to Sweden or the USA should he be present in UK territory.

Assange is the public face of Wikileaks – and the US diplomatic cables released by Wikileaks in fact greatly benefit the UK; notably highlighting to British public the lack of appreciation there is in Afghanistan for our troops who are putting their lives on the line for the nation on a daily basis.

The intention is that this petition will evidence a social momentum towards emphasising the sovereignty of Britain's land, laws and principles. Protecting Assange (either publicly or covertly) would be in keeping with the nation's historic sense of standing up for what is right.

It is clear to people of all political and moral perspectives that the allegations made against Assange both directly and indirectly are frivolous in their nature and are driven by ulterior motives that ultimately intend to curb fundamental freedoms of speech and media.

In summary, we request that the UK Government take stock of the voting public's will – and guarantee that, should Julian Assange be located in the UK, he is not automatically extradited to whichever nation demands it.

Yours Sincerely,
The Undersigned.
