Persimmon PLC want to develop 168 dwellings on the gifted land that is now the Wootton Bassett Towns Cricket Field
This Land was gifted to the people of Wootton Bassett in 1930 by Major Buxton
Persimmon are also refusing to give any educational funding for the 168 properties – this should be around £1m but they are refusing.
Gerard Buxton Sorts Ground has out lived it ability. We need more space, whatever the sport. It makes sense to move to a larger facilty whilst still using Gerard Buxton’s legacy as it was intended.
