The united kingdom government will shortly be holding the 2015 defence spending review. Please let them know the public would like an increase in defence spending to provide
more equipment and personnel by signing this petition. Our military has been reduced too much already.
Our troops deserve the best equipment and protection, they protect our country for a small salary, the very least they deserve is the best kit to work with!!!
The first duty of any government is to defend the country it represents. Our government seems determined to play with the “big boys” ( i.e. the United States of America) in fighting worthy causes anywhere in the world, but has cut back our Forces to the point where they are unable to fulfill this role efficiently and safely. The British Armed Forces are in danger of becoming a laughing stock in the world. Wake up Britain!

The united kingdom Government needs to increase Defence spending with the 2015 Defence spending review.
We need a properly funded defence of our country and it’s citizens.
More money should be spent on defence equipment (including intelligence gathering) and personnel and much less on filling the Swiss bank accounts of foreign despots (aka foreign aid).
In this troubled world we need a strong defence, a Navy with the ships and the man power to protect this country, you cannot cut the forces anymore, listen to the Chiefs of the armed forces, and the people of this country, more money for defence, wake up to what is happening in the world.
We need a strong defence force in order to protect us at home and abroad don’t stretch them to breaking point.
I served in the Royal Navy for 28 years. It makes me shudder in horror when I see the size of all our armed forces and compare them to the duties they are expected to perform.
