Rumours are that Bromley London borough council want to demolish the pool in West Wickham. We the signatories of this petition want to preserve the pool in West Wickham as it provides an excellent swimming lesson programme which over the years has taught thousands of children to swim. It also is offering adult and junior swimming lessons and adult lane swimming. West Wickham pools also has a varied swimming programme including aqua-fit, kids splash and swim zone. Many local disabled people use the pool for regular exercise who would not be able to travel to other pools and similar local schools use the pool to teach swimming that prevent drowning. We want the Bromley London borough council to guarantee that the West Wickham pool will be preserved as closing it will discriminate against disabled local users and local school children.
