2014-10-04 20:06:39 Over the last 50 years work has gone into restoring canals becauseit has been realised they are an important amenity rather than a “cost”. We should not allow infrastructure such as this lock to be lost. Once gone it will be impossible to re instate given the anti Derwent navigation lobby
