Tell Congress you don't want an extension of the Bush tax cuts for the very wealthy (>$250,000/year). Sign this letter!
Dear Democratic Congressperson,
We are writing to urge you to stand up and vote against an extension of the Bush tax cuts for those making over $250,000 because it is the right thing to do for America.
It is true that the middle class needs tax relief, but they can get that relief with an extension of only the tax cuts for those earning less than $250,000. Additionally, Gallup polling has shown that a majority of Americans do not support an extension of the tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans.
Democrats have two choices: Either buck under Republican pressure and extend all tax cuts, alienating Democratic voters and the majority of Americans, or stand up and support only the tax break for those in need: the working and middle classes.
This is an issue on which Democrats can win back support AND do the right thing, so we urge you to take a strong stance. You and your party will find that is pays off with the American people.
