The recent weeks have shown that First Scotrail can no longer be considered the most suitable operators of the rail network in Scotland. Year on year, First Scotrail fail to be prepared for the winter weather and we fail to understand how they can be caught out like this again. We also have to put up with rude and unhelpful staff in their stations who seem to think it acceptable to treat their paying customers like sheep, corralled into queus and sharing no information about reasons for delays/cancellations.
Finally, First Scotrail have announced their fare increases as of January 2011 which, given the poor customer service, surely cannot be justified.
We call on a public enquiry into the running of Scotland's railyways in the hope that we never have to put up with such poor service again.
