Camp Bastion is the main operating base for British forces in Afghanistan. This petition is to call for the Ministry of Defence to increase the number and variety of entertainment shows for troops based within Camp Bastion, specifically by putting on burlesque shows for the men and women over there.
Burlesque is neither sexist or degrading, up and down the country both men and women attend shows on a regular basis. This petition is aimed at both celebrating an art form and raising morale amongst troops stationed at Camp Bastion.
