Only the people who suffer day in, day out with IBS will know just how incapacitating and dehabilitating the condition is. The problem is the syndrome does not qualify as an incapacity and therefore we cannot get the recognition and support we need. Many people have lost their jobs and have next to no social life because of this condition yet it is not seen as important enough to be recognised as an incapacity.

Please sign the petition to be sent to the Government so that we can try and get IBS recognised as an incapacity.

Totally support this as recognition as a disability would help sufferers fight discrimination in the workplace

  5. Lizzy Batey UNITED KINGDOM

I completely support this campaign, as an IBS sufferer myself I know how we are treated and it is totally wrong.

I suffer with this and it is debilitating I can’t go out because I’m afraid I’ll need to use the toilet, and when I’ve got to go I need to go right away, I’m a allot of pain also
