Closing the station ticket office at noon will inevitably attract criminal activity and make it much less safe.

As a woman, who travels on the train alone quite often, I am very concerned about safety at Loughborough Junction train station. I have been told by station workers that there is no CCTV on the platforms or anywhere at the station. I find the station dangerous enough as it is, and if plans to remove staff in the afternoons went ahead, I would have to travel via another means.
Also, I often find the ticket machine does not work – won't read the coins, won't process card payments, won't issue change etc – so what do you suggest we do if there is not ticket office open? Get on the train and be fined? I implore you to keep the current staffing levels, they provide a friendly and efficient service.

Its pure profiteering and disgusting. this would render the station as a dangerous platform that is regularly vandalised.

No one will use the station if they don't feel safe
