This petition is to address the lack of authority carers have in situations where the less abled person has a behavioral outburst in public places. Usually there is no solid indication of the persons disability or identification of the carer who usually is the person who knows how to maintain the outburst to a minimum. This lack of awareness leads to the police getting involved and the situation escalating more than necessary. We will take this petition forward to the metropolitan police and those who are in authority to allow carers to have on hand a card stating that this person does in fact have a disability, that the person carrying the card their carer and any other usual information. This will allow the carer to contain the situation and also allow them to communicate to the public and/or the police (in some cases) to step back and let them handle it.
