At the moment the university gives preference to year abroad students, but we would like to see this become a guarantee. Trying to find private accommodation when on a year abroad can be extremely difficult and can leave many students without accommodation when returning to st andrews, providing them with a guarantee would give assurance and a level of security that would make their lives a lot easier.
