RE – Methuen Road, Edgware / dp-2017-27 – proposed controlled parking zone objection/petition
This petition is to highlight that we, residents of methuen road do not agree to the new parking regulations being applied onto methuen road.
The reason for this is that we don’t see the need for such long restricted hours being 08:30-20:30 Monday to Saturday. In the information posted to us, there was no justification as you why you have proposed such a long restriction. We agree there are people who work around edgware centre who leave their car parked all day on our road which causes congestion, but this can be solved by adding a parking restriction with day time timings of 10:00-11:00 / 14:00-15:00. We do not need an all-day parking restriction.
We are unhappy that the timings are so long into the evening as this impedes residents on the road to park their cars in early evening when they get home from work and forces us to buy parking permits every year and this is highly unfair. We also think there is no need to include saturday within the parking restriction.
Therefore we are in agreement for the parking restriction to be:
- from 10:00-11:00 / 14:00-15:00 only
- between Monday-Friday only (there is no need for this restriction on Saturdays & Sundays)
