City council get back HMS Plymouth to Plymouth

  2. Geoff Clemens UNITED KINGDOM

Of course this vessel should come back to Plymouth. It should form part of the historical interest of this city. Plymouth is very slow to learn that it needs to sell itself as a holiday resort with huge potential historical significance.

  3. Geoff Clemens UNITED KINGDOM

HMS Plymouth should form the main part of any historical naval tour in this city.

  4. John Wiseman UNITED KINGDOM

This is the last chance for Plymouth City Council to show an interest in the city’s Naval heritage. Just look at what Portsmouth and Chatham have done. Let’s get Plymouth on the map!

I served for over four years in a sister ship (HMS Brighton) and know just how special the Type 12 Frigate was to everyone who ever had the priveledge to serve in them. What a wonderful opportunity for the City of Plymouth to finally do something about supporting its maritime heritage.

  7. Mike Stott UNITED KINGDOM

Built in Plymouth, belongs to Plymouth.

  8. Jaromir Wilczak UNITED KINGDOM

    I do support !

  9. David Smith UNITED KINGDOM

The government need to realise that some decisions should not be governed solely by financial considerations.

  10. Phil Barnett CANADA

Any Heritage is precious . Let Plymouth decide where and what happens

  11. S N Kendrick UNITED KINGDOM

This could be a great addition to the historic dockyard bringing in tourists and money to boost the local economy. Portsmouth’s historic dockyard is of enormous benefit to the local economy; this could be the core of a similar facility in Plymouth.

  12. eric christophe-walsh UNITED KINGDOM

HMS Plymouth should be saved for future generation, it has a history which must not be lost. Perhaps it could be retuned to plymouth as a permanent reminer of Britians navel history

  13. Bernadette Gibbons UNITED KINGDOM

It would be lovely to see a piece of Plymouth’s history come home, especially this year marking 30yrs since the Falkland’s conflict.

  14. wayne woodward UNITED KINGDOM

We will need all the ships resources we can get our hands on if the Falklands kick off again

  15. Sean Baxter UNITED KINGDOM

Massive peice of culture and history it would be a waste to scrap her.

  16. andy beattie UNITED KINGDOM

the history of this ship has more value than it’s scrap value

  17. Maude Congo UNITED KINGDOM

This is a must for Plymouth and the country as a whole.

  18. Paul Congo UNITED KINGDOM

Why scrap an important part of our city and country’s heritage? SAVE HER!

  19. Spencer Robinson UNITED KINGDOM

I fully support your campaign, I served in the ship when she was first commissioned and also in the 70s

  20. sarah nicholls UNITED KINGDOM

I think she should be saved and if possible returned to plymouth.
