This crisis is just one more step towards the European super-state. It's time for the Irish to say no.

Though living in France I pay my tax in the U.K.
    And France.
    Woe, woe is me.

Come on Eire, remember the joke, Why is the Irish currency called the Punt?
    Because it rhymes with banker.

  7. Jonathan Wynne Evans Drumnadrochit UNITED KINGDOM

Recognition of failure requires a minimum of backbone. It's time our domestic body politic found that.

  8. Joe Solipa Reading UNITED KINGDOM

Cameron should have reduced our contribution to the EU. It has infuriated me that he gave them an increase, when most of us have lumbered on with pay freezes. As for Ireland they should be given another referendum on the EU. They have been badly advised and betrayed by their leaders.

  9. Anne Palmer Wolverhampton UNITED KINGDOM

The British Government has put the Euro, The EU, The IMF, before the interests of this Country. British Money is already included in the EU and IMF (and probably the Euro), and I see no point in ALL the cuts in this Country, the higher petrol, Gas and Electricity to come, if that money is going to help other Countries rather than our own.\r\n\r\nHad the EU and IMF not been contributing, it would be a different matter, and yes, no doubt the Brits would be the first to offer their help.\r\n\r\nHowever, we vote AND PAY for our own Government to Govern us, if they do not do this soon, there will be no point in paying our taxes, because if we continue to allow our taxes to encourage foreigners to govern us, it might be said we are-all be in innocently-contributing to treason… no foreign prince, person, prelate, state or potentate hath or ought to have any jurisdiction, power, superiority, pre-eminence or authority ecclesiastical or spiritual within this realm …”.

I never consented to adding my extra £300 to the national debt. This bail out is immoral.
