Difficult to reconcile a budget being available for a breast enlargement often because of self-esteem issues and little or no budget being available to enable a child to walk.

I’ve been severely disabled for all my life — 57 years. For 30 of those I was able to walk. Walking is very important on many levels for a person. Providing surgery for Sophie is not only the right thing to do — but is a smart thing to do budget-wise. The more independent Sophie’s able to be, the less need she will have for helps in the future & the greater her capacity to participate in society & give back.

Hope this helps Sophie get her surgery!! :)

I TO AM DISABLED AND HAVE BEEN FOR 55 YEARS I SPEND ALL MY TIME IN A WHEELCHAIR SO IKNOW WHAT ITS LIKE AND I THINK THAT IF THERE IS A CHANCE THAT SOPHIE COULD WALK THEN SHE SHOULD BE GIVEN THAT CHANCE AND IF MONEY IS THE REASON THAT THEY CANT DO IT THEN WERE IS THE MONEY GOING TO FROM THE NATIONAL HEALTH LOTTERY I THOUGHT IT WAS FOR THAT REASON TO FILL THE POT WHEN IT GETS LOW KEEP ON FIGHTING AND I WISH YOU ALL THE BEST OF LUCK.

Because every child deserves every chance!

I have cerebral palsy myself, and if this surgery was needed to help me, I would not want others who do not know my specific situation or anything about my day-to-day life to be authorized to make decisions on my behalf. I am a strong advocate for anything that will make the lives of children and adults with disabilities better.

  20. Caroline Merritt UNITED KINGDOM

    Good luck
