what on earth are they using in some of these 'modern' headlights? and 4 headlights?

I have frequently been temporarily blinded by the use of these new headlights. On an undulating road they can give the impression that an emergency vehicle with flashing blue lights is approaching. Note: I live on the Isle of Wight which is a county in the United Kingdom but ommitted from your list for some reason – please rectify

DRLs on cars negates the safety advantage for motorcyclists.
Nightime dazzle is a serious problem – driving into a blackhole at 70 mph because of temporary blindness is like a game of Russian roulette.

I find HID lights at night an absolute pain and i believe that daytime lights will be detrimental to road safety.

I AGREE TOTALLY WITH THE REPORT AIMS- MISUSE OF FOG LIGHTS SHOULD ALSO BE AN OFFENCE.

Far too many overly bright bulbs in cars and too many trucks with multi spotlights above the driver's cab.

I'm on the road 2 hours a day, alot of that time is driving in the dark on country roads which not only gives me a raging headache form the bright lights, but does indeed momentarilly blinds me.

I live in the countryside and on an evening driving home on the country roads, approaching vehicles with high intensity driving lights can be very blinding, which I see as very dangerous.

What about ridding the totally unnessary extra lights on vehicles such as lorries especially the blue ones that make you think it is a Police vehicle.there should be a law against any vehicle other than emergency ones that show a blue light

HID Headlights are a real problem when they are coming towards you especially when the roads are heavily salted as they have been over the recent months and your windscreen is smeared. There has also been a lot of construction work and open cast mining in the locality which has been leaving heavy deposits of mud and coal dust slurry on the roads which obliterates all road markings so when confronted with a vehicle with maladjusted HID headlights the road disappears from your view due to the inflicted temporary blindness.
