Why fix something which don’t need fixing. 15 years of helping those poor cats out. Come on Asda you know it makes sense. Do the right thing and keep the food drops. Thank you.

  2. Rhian UNITED KINGDOM

Shelters need every bit of help they can get, and more!

  3. Sharon hunt UNITED KINGDOM

Charities rely heavily on these donations. Please think of the poor cats!

  4. Hannah Osmond UNITED KINGDOM

Having volunteered with Lost Cats Brighton for several years, one of the charities to be affected by your decision, I know how much these charities rely on the food donations from collection crates. I can’t see any reason why, after all these years of allowing the crates, there is any good reason why they are no longer viable. Please reconsider for the sake of small independent animal charities who are already struggling to make ends meet and continue their important work. Thank you.

  5. Claire Townsend UNITED KINGDOM

    This makes no sense whatsoever!

City cat shelter is a very small charity which does not receive any funding from the government but relies totally on public donations and unpaid volunteers. They will be losing out on approximately £30 worth of cat food per week, which is a big deal for this tiny charity. It is a charity local to the Hollingbury Asda and it costs nothing for Asda to keep the basket on display. In fact, it’s actually to Asda’s benefit as people are spending their money to buy cat food to place in the charity’s basket.

Please don’t take away a vital source for our local cat charities. These donations are willing given and much needed in our Local communities.

  10. Jo Buckland UNITED KINGDOM

I just can’t understand the reason for this. Are you able to explain please?

  11. Barbara Roser UNITED KINGDOM

There is no reason that someone needs to be there to answer questions about the charity no money is changing hands except gifts of food for the animals stop making excuses , a poster should be enough explanation people are not stupid and most are animal lovers.

Charities need as much help they can get!

  13. Tracy king UNITED KINGDOM

These kind & loving people that help these poor unfortunate cats do a fantastic job and deserve all the help they can get. It is a very small but big hearted thing that as da can do to help support these animal charities

  14. Karen Linscer UNITED KINGDOM

Please reinstate the collections the cats need feeding they are a charity.

  15. Yvonne Whitley-Jones UNITED KINGDOM

I think it’s appalling and totally unforgivable of Asda to take away this much needed source to obtain free donated food. I’m sure customers who donate will be heart broken that defenceless cats and kittens will suffer as a result of this ludicrous decision. Come on Asda I thought you were better than this! What’s the saying? ‘If it ain’t broke no need to fix it’. Do the decent thing Asda, keep the basket!!! PLEASE!!!!

  16. Claire wheeler UNITED KINGDOM

It is a needed cause and helps volunteer charity’s to keep going.

  17. Marc UNITED KINGDOM

It has been there for 15 years, everyone that donates know exactly what it’s for & donate because they believe in the cause. The Tulleys & volunteers have dedicated their life’s for city cat shelter. Why try & fix something that isn’t broken? It’s the cats that suffer!! Do you have a heart? I believe in whole lot of different causes too but cats can’t speak for themselves!!

  18. Sian Evans UNITED KINGDOM

People are buying the food from their shop so I can’t see what the problem is and just think they are being rather nasty to these poor defenseless creatures
