  2. john haworth UNITED KINGDOM

i did my training on the other Ocean in 1954 , so i think it should be saved until more are in commision

  3. J P Oliver UNITED KINGDOM

    Naval resources at dangerous level

  4. Penelope Brown

Our defence is in a parlours state already without laying up our only large ship. Our forebears must be turning in their graves. All politicians for the last 25plus years have forgotten the first responsibility of government – defence of the realm!

  5. TONY YOUNG UNITED KINGDOM

MY SON SERVED ON HMS OCEAN FOR THREE YEARS ,IT WAS HIS FIRST SHIP SO ITS VERY CLOSE TO OUR HEART.I AM SIGNING BECAUSE THE WAY THINGS ARE GOING ON IN THE WORLD WE NEED EVERY SHIP WE HAVE JUST IN CASE THE WORSE HAPPENS

  6. Mike Thomsett UNITED KINGDOM

Its needed even more now with the underlying Type 45 Destroyers
+ Britain can not afford to dispose of Ocean until we have the operational service of HMS Queen Elizabeth

  7. Raymond Neal UNITED KINGDOM

We need to keep our defences in working order, and only scrap when replacements have been in full operatiomal perfornance and proven.

  8. Mary Fletcher UNITED KINGDOM

I feel it is very important that we continue to use H.M.S Ocean on the sea until such time as the new Carriers are afloat. we must protect this Island of ours and I feel the Government has cut our defences down to the minimum, we cannot continue to cut, cut cut or there will be nothing left to defend with

  9. Phill Hickling

The need to keep our Navy as strong as possible is a reasonable and responsible requirement.

  10. Marilyn Astle

We need to keep our defence forces strong

  11. Tim Norman UNITED KINGDOM

    A

  12. Edward Cutler UNITED KINGDOM

I think it is vitally important to keep HMS Ocean until the new carriers are built and in full use

  13. Patrick Seaman UNITED KINGDOM

The government made a massive mistake in getting rid of the Harrier force with undue haste. They need to just stop and think about the implications of getting rid of HMS Ocean before the new carriers are commissioned.

  14. Margot Cornish UNITED KINGDOM

    Support the Royal Navy

  15. Keith Cornish UNITED KINGDOM

Needed till new Carriers are in Srvice and problems with other type 45 Destroyers are sorted!

  16. Chris Watson UNITED KINGDOM

this type of ship is essential to support our deployed service men and to provide the kind of succour after disasters that we are renowned for

  17. john brice UNITED KINGDOM

We need HMS Ocean until new carriers are fully equipped and in service.

  18. david moss-baker UNITED KINGDOM

I’m ex Navy. HMS Ocean is the only sea going air cover we have. surely it would be sensible to keep her commisioned until the new carriers are commisioned and carrying their new aircraft.
Why the rush to scrap her ? The experienced crew can then be moved straight to one of the new carriers with less training (WHICH COSTS MONEY). A shame the Naval heirachy does’nt speak out, including those retired. ( probably waiting for Knighthoods).

  19. perkins UNITED KINGDOM

We still need to retained this ship until our other carriers will be built.

  20. Robert Noble

Common sense.Dont scrap it until your replacement is in service but they have not got the men in sevice to go on the new carrier unless they do.
